πŸŒ„ What do your mornings at work look like? πŸŒ…

Your morning rituals are crucial to starting the work day off right. If things go well, you are in a good mood and you have the best chances of continuing to have a great day. If things start off on the wrong foot… It can be tough to get back on track!

My mornings

β˜• I like to start my day with a cup of coffee and a tidy space. All through the morning, I’ve been thinking of different things I want to do today, so I start my work day by extracting all of these into a segmented To Do list in my planner, along with anything I had already planned in for today from before.

πŸ“§ One of the first tasks I like to complete is replying to any new correspondence… Chuck the ball into the other person’s court. I don’t want to be the one holding up our progress!

😩 If I don’t manage to get my list together or my space is untidy, I carry that disorder with me through the rest of the day.

🏠 Working from home for myself, I don’t have these built-in social opportunities anymore, so I organise co-working sessions which begin by sharing our intentions for the day.

πŸ‘‹ In previous jobs I sometimes did a whistle stop tour to say good morning to my colleagues before fully settling in. Or a longer check-in with my closest colleagues.

❓ What is the start of your work day like? How do you get there? How do you settle in? What are the first things you do in the morning? Please share in the comments below.
